With the threat of severe rain and the potential for local flooding, I have determined that it is in our best interest to cancel this weekend’s Community Health and Back-to-School Fair. Even if the rain does not continue into Saturday, the potential for oversaturation on church grounds creates certain hazards that should be avoided. (Please notify anyone you invited to the Fair of the cancellation.)
ALL IS NOT LOST, HOWEVER!
Though we will not host the Fair on Saturday, with your continued support and by working through the staff at Colin Powell Academy, we can still bless the students and families in our community. To do so, please bring the school supplies you secured to church on Sunday - or ask someone to deliver the supplies for you between 10:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Please accept my gratitude for your willingness to give your time, energy, money, and spirit to this meaningful outreach.
