"that Christ may dwell in your hearts...

"that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— 19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us," Ephesians 3:17-20

"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written: "For Your sake we are killed all day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter." 37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:35-39

When I mediate on how God brought me out of and through death of loved ones, financial problems, raising and educating children as a single parent, I cannot keep from praising Him. Even during times where I was focused more on the problems than on His goodness and faithfulness, God blessed me. Two of the scriptures that helped to transform me, are the scriptures provided above. I am being rooted and established in love, as the Holy Spirit gives me the power to grasp the magnitude of Jesus' love for us. It is the love of Christ that allows us to get through our toughest times. Knowing that nothing can separate us from the love of Christ gives us the strength to go on even in times of trouble and heartache we can take heart in knowing God is with us because of Christ's love.

Prayer: Thank you Lord for all you have done for me. I know that nothing can separate me from your love which is in Christ Jesus. You have given me the strength to go on even in times of trouble and heartache. God, we take heart in knowing you are with us because of Christ's love for us. For that we are grateful. Amen.
