Greetings!
Our prayer focus for June is A Strengthened Sense of Self. As such, under the leadership of Trustee Edward Lacy, WFLCM's Men's Ministry has developed our plan for the month. As we progress along the path of spiritual and personal development, all members of WORD For Life Church Ministries are encouraged to read, fast, pray, and act together, as one body. Please note the following:

Throughout the month, pray that the Spirit of God will strengthen us to embrace the new and unfamiliar aspects of life. Pray that you, as an individual, will be an inviting presence for young men and young women. Pray for renewed passion and joy for ministry.
Fasting
Daniel Fast: Each week, from Thursday at 6:00 a.m. – Friday at 6:00 a.m., consume only fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, and seeds—no meat products or preservatives. (As needed, consult your physician to determine appropriate levels of participation.) While fasting, pray before each meal with an emphasis on glorifying God in each interaction throughout the day and in the days to come.
Action
We look forward to engaging our community in the following way this month:
The Men's Ministry invites monetary donations that will be used to purchase gift cards for the educators at Potomac Landing Elementary School. For the month of June, all monetary donations designated for Missions will be used to purchase gift cards at the end of the month. As you know, educators greatly influence how we view ourselves. May our gifts help them replenish their supplies over the Summer as they prepare for the next school year.
In God's care,
pL
